ABOUT SUCCESSFUL INVENTOR STEPHEN KEY

Stephen Key is a successful award-winning inventor and entrepreneur, having licensed over 20 products in the past 25 years. A holder of over twelve patents, Stephen’s products have sold in Wal-Mart, Walgreen’s, K-Mart, Toys R US, Disney Stores and theme parks worldwide and have been endorsed by basketball great Michael Jordan and Jeopardy game show host Alex Trebek.

Early in his career Stephen oversaw production and quality control in the Far East for Worlds of Wonder’s two number one hit toys: Teddy Ruxpin, the world’s first talking teddy bear, and Lazer Tag. Stephen soon left Worlds of Wonder with the desire to create his own wealth by licensing and selling his ideas.

One of Stephen’s most successful products, Spinformation, has sold well over 300 million units worldwide. The rotating label technology has been used on products such as Rexall Sundown Herbals, Nescafe Coffee, and Jim Beam DeKuyper Pucker and has won over 13 international awards. Stephen has signed licensing agreements with some of the largest global companies, including Coca Cola, Disney and CCL Label, the world’s largest manufacturer of pressure sensitive labels. Stephen also regularly works with all of the largest worldwide packaging manufacturing companies, including Krones, KHS, Sidel, Accraply/Trine, and others.

Stephen’s Spinformation technology is currently featured on a Disney beverage product called Twist N Chill, appearing in U.S. stores spring 2009. The product will feature Hannah Montana, Cars and Toy Story.

Stephen was the President and CEO of a successful musical accessory business in which he was a Disney licensee. His companies’ products were sold worldwide and in such popular locations as 7 Eleven, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Walgreens, and Hot Topic. Stephen’s musical accessory products were recognized as outstanding in the field, winning the award “Best in Show” two years in a row by the worlds largest musical manufacturing association.

Recognized as an outstanding leader in the field of innovation, Stephen has appeared on national television numerous times, including an appearance on the CNBC show “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch” and a spot as an expert guest on “Dr. Phil”. He has been interviewed by national magazines, newspapers, and authors such as Tim Ferris (“The 4-Hour Work Week”) and Donny Deutsch (“The Big Idea”). Stephen was also a consultant on the first season of the hit ABC reality TV show “American Inventor”, created by Simon Cowell.

Along with business partner Andrew Krauss, Stephen co-founded inventRight, a company dedicated to educating inventors, entrepreneurs, or anyone with an idea the necessary steps to build wealth through licensing.
