Dear Outside Submitter:
RE: YOUR IDEA SUBMITTED TO WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION
Thank you for your interest in suggesting an idea to Whirlpool Corporation. We appreciate your submission
and ask that you follow the procedures established by our Corporation with regard to ideas from Outside
Submitters.
WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION DOES NOT RECEIVE AND REVIEW OUTSIDE SUGGESTIONS WITHOUT
THE LEGAL PROTECTION OF A WAIVER.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE NOT REVIEWED OR KEPT A COPY OF YOUR LETTER AND/OR
MATERIALS AND ARE RETURNING THEM TO YOU INTACT IN ORDER TO LEGALLY PROTECT
YOUR INTERESTS AND THE INTERESTS OF WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION.
Whirlpool has its own employees as well as consultants constantly working on new ideas, and the substance of
your suggestion may already be known to Whirlpool. Because our Corporation has many employees working
on design, development and business ideas, Whirlpool only accepts and reviews ideas submitted by someone
outside the company under the following conditions:
1. IDEAS MUST RELATE TO APPLIANCE PRODUCTS ON THE ATTACHED LIST;
2. IDEAS MUST BE SUBMITTED ALONG WITH A SIGNED WHIRLPOOL WAIVER.
In order to avoid any misunderstanding, Whirlpool will only receive and review suggestions which are
submitted under the terms and conditions of our Waiver, two copies of which are enclosed. If your idea(s)
meets the above-described terms and you wish to submit your idea to Whirlpool, please sign the enclosed
Waiver and send one copy of the Waiver along with your idea to Whirlpool Corporation, Attn: Outside
Submitter Correspondent, 500 Renaissance Drive, Suite 102, St. Joseph, MI 49085. (The Second Waiver is
provided for your files.)
If the above-stated conditions are met, upon receipt, your idea will be reviewed. If your idea stimulates interest
and creates further questions, someone from Whirlpool may contact you. However, if your idea is not of
interest, you will probably receive no further correspondence from Whirlpool regarding your submission
because the volume of contacts each year prevents our continuing to communicate with each individual
submitter.
