KwikBowl Announces New Bathroom Sink Insert

KwikBowl Announces New Bathroom Sink Insert

  • 0 Stars.

KwikBowl LLC, located in Prairieville LA, has announced a new sink liner, similar to a bathtub liner, allowing homeowners, apartment owners and hotel owners an easy and inexpensive replacement sink.

As homeowners, apartment owners, and hotel owners are cutting back due to the economic crunch, they are looking for ways to stretch their dollars. One way to do that is to repair and remodel, rather than replace. The product, called KwikBowl, solves the age-old problem of replacing a cracked and stained bathroom sink without replacing the entire countertop. If a home, apartment complex, or hotel was built after 1970, chances are the very popular cultured marble countertop with an integral sink was installed in the bathrooms.

Cultured marble is a less expensive alternative to natural marble. It is actually a polymer casting, coated with a gell gloss, very similar to the clear coat on your car. After a few years, many of these cultured marble units may start to crack and stain? This is a process called “crazing”, tiny hairline cracks around the drain that become progressively worse over time, due to cycles of hot and then cold water. These cracks can also be the result of various environmental factors, such as building movement, temperature and humidity stress, or improper installation. Once the surface is damaged, actual restoration to original condition is impossible.

Up until now, there have been only two solutions to this problem. The consumer can replace the entire countertop and bowl, or they can have the unit refinished.

“After 25 years experience in bathtub and sink refinishing and repairs, I knew there had to be a better solution”, says BrentLinder, developer of the KwikBowl.” I refinished many of the old cultured marble sinks, then refused to refinish them anymore, as the cracks would continue through my coating, and I didn’t like to do anything I couldn’t do well.”

After three years of research and development, the KwikBowl is now introduced into the market as a simpler and less expensive solution. There is currently no other product like it. The KwikBowl offers no refinishing, no tearing out, and no downtime. The KwikBowl  comes in a kit which includes a new sink and a new drain in your choice of finish. The drain requires no removal of old plumbing. The Kit can be installed in about ten minutes.

Brent and Sheila Linder of Prairieville are the inventors and developers of the new KwikBowl sink insert. One of their distributors will come out and measure your sink. If one of the generic bowls is not a proper fit for your sink, they will custom-manufacture a replacement sink.
