Welcome to Get In The News!

Get In The News is an online resource for journalists to find inventors and inventions for PR opportunities. Listing and searching for inventions and inventors is completely free. If you are an inventor it's very simple to get started. Follow the instructions below for an easy step-by-step listing process.

Please Note: After you have registered please check your e-mail. You will receive an e-mail to confirm your e-mail address. Make sure to click on the link in the e-mail to confirm your e-mail address or you will not be able to login and list your inventions. 

IMPORTANT: Please make sure you have cookies turned on in your browser. If you have them turned off you may not be able to log in to list your invention. 

How To List Your Invention.

Listing your invention is very easy. Simply click the "Create Account" link at the top, center of the page. Fill in all of the information to create your account. Please note that your login from the forum will not work here, sorry.

Once you have logged in your will see the welcome screen. Click on "List Invention" to start the invention listing process. Next Click on the "List Your Invention For Free." option and click "Submit." Now choose the Primary Classification category that your invention belongs in and click "Submit." If your invention belongs in more than one category don't worry you can choose others next.

On the next screen you will see all of the places to enter your information. Here you can choose multiple categories if your invention fits in more than one category. Please enter the Title of your invention, the Description or your Press Release along with your address, website (if you have one) and logo or photo of your product. If you need help writing your press release visit www.publicityinsider.com for a free tutorial on writing one. Also enter a few keywords that describe your invention. This will help when people are searching for a specific type of product. It is also important to enter your address properly so that the journalists can also search for inventions in a particular geographic location. Once you have completed the form click "Submit." 

Next you will be sent to the Listing screen. Here you can view your listing by clicking on "View Public Listing" next to your invention title. You can also click on the icons to the right of your inventions name to add Photo and Documents to your listing. In the photos section you can add several photos of your invention. In the documents section you can upload a pdf or word document of your press release or other information about your invention.

Now your invention is listed in the database. If you have any problems or questions please call us toll free at 1-800-701-7993

Searching For Inventions.

If you are a producer/reporter/journalist or anyone in the media looking for an inventor or invention to spotlight on an upcoming show or in an article please feel free to search our database. All of the inventions listed here are from independent inventors. You can search by type of product or if you are looking for someone near your location enter your zip code and a mile radius above to find inventors near you.
