Our favorite book from Nolo Press is "Patent Pending In 24 Hours" by David Pressman which shows you step by step how to write a provisional patent application.
You can use the Nolo Press software "Patent It Now!" which walks you step by step through writing a provisional patent application and references select parts of the book "Patent Pending In 24 Hours" along the way. It included a full electronic version of "Patent Pending In 24 Hours"!
